THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN US

Terms & conditions

These terms govern Our Invite accounts, the invitation builder, published invitations, guest links, RSVPs and one-off purchases.

1. About these terms

Our Invite is operated by Our Invite, trading as Our Invite. By creating an account or ordering the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 and legally capable of entering a contract to create an account or purchase Our Invite. Guests do not need an account, but their use of an invitation and RSVP form is subject to the relevant parts of these terms and our privacy policy.

2. The service

Our Invite lets an account holder design, publish and share a digital wedding invitation, manage guest links and collect online RSVPs. Features may include media, music, maps, schedules, dress code, story sections and response notifications.

One purchase covers one invitation workspace for one couple or event unless the checkout says otherwise. “One-off payment” means there is no recurring subscription for that purchase. Access continues while the relevant Our Invite service remains operated and the account complies with these terms; it is not a promise that any online service will exist permanently.

Our Invite is not a guaranteed or emergency communication channel. Keep an independent copy of your guest list and event details. Use another way to communicate urgent or time-critical changes.

3. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate information, keep your password and guest links confidential, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We may require email verification, refuse duplicate or abusive accounts, reset credentials, or temporarily restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, data or the service.

4. Your content and permissions

You keep ownership of content you upload. You give Our Invite a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, adapt for technical display, transmit and back up that content only as needed to provide, secure and support the service.

You promise that you have the rights and permissions needed for names, photos, video, music, artwork, contact information and other content you use. You must not upload unlawful, infringing, malicious, discriminatory, sexually explicit or seriously offensive content, or anything that violates another person’s privacy.

Tracks in an Our Invite music library are made available on the basis of information supplied about their permitted use. You remain responsible for confirming that your intended use is lawful, particularly for any music or media you upload yourself. Our Invite does not indemnify you against third-party rights claims.

5. Guest information and messages

You are responsible for using guest information lawfully, selecting only relevant contacts, keeping private links secure and giving guests appropriate privacy information. You must not use Our Invite to send spam, unsolicited marketing or unlawful communications.

Delivery of an email, text, link preview or notification depends on third-party networks, mail providers, devices, filters and correct contact details. A “sent” status does not guarantee delivery, reading or action by a guest.

6. Checking your invitation

You must preview and check names, dates, times, addresses, links, schedules, dietary questions, invite type and all other details before publishing or sharing. You are responsible for correcting mistakes and informing guests of changes. We are not responsible for an error in content supplied or approved by you.

7. Price and payment

The price shown immediately before order is the total price for the described digital service, including applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. The planned standard price is £9.99 as a one-off payment, but free testing, promotions or future prices may apply.

Paid checkout is handled by Stripe. Your order is accepted when payment succeeds and we provide confirmation or activate the invitation. If a price or technical error is obvious, we may cancel and refund the affected order.

Free testing access may be changed, limited or withdrawn. No cash value or refund attaches to a free activation.

8. Cancellation and refunds

Your cancellation and statutory digital-content rights are explained in our Refund policy, which forms part of these terms. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Availability, changes and suspension

We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise uninterrupted, error-free or permanently available service. Maintenance, security incidents, internet failures, hosting problems, third-party outages, events beyond reasonable control or product changes may interrupt access.

We may update features, templates, technical limits or integrations where reasonably required for security, law, compatibility, performance or continued operation. If a change materially reduces a paid core service, we will use reasonable efforts to give notice and provide an appropriate remedy where required by law.

We may suspend or remove content, links or accounts where reasonably necessary because of non-payment, unlawful use, security risk, abuse, rights complaints or a serious breach of these terms. Where appropriate, we will give notice and a chance to remedy the issue.

10. Our responsibility to consumers

We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. A loss is foreseeable if it was obvious, or both sides knew it might happen, when the contract was made.

To the fullest extent the law permits, we are not responsible for:

  • losses caused by inaccurate content, contact details, permissions, settings or instructions supplied by you;
  • a guest failing to receive, open or respond to an invitation, or relying on an outdated link;
  • failures of a guest’s device, browser, email provider, mobile network, internet connection, third-party map, media service, payment provider or other system outside our reasonable control;
  • loss or corruption that could reasonably have been avoided by keeping an export or independent backup;
  • business losses, loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill or reputation where you use Our Invite for commercial purposes; or
  • indirect or consequential costs connected with the wedding or event, including venue, catering, supplier, travel, accommodation, printing, rebooking, substitute communication or guest-attendance costs, except where such loss is legally recoverable and was foreseeable.

Where the law permits a financial cap, our total liability arising from the affected paid invitation will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for that invitation and (b) £50. This cap does not apply where a higher liability cannot lawfully be limited.

What we never exclude or limit. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of rights that law says cannot be excluded, or any other liability it would be unlawful to limit. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

11. Events beyond reasonable control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as widespread internet or power failure, hosting or communications outages, cyberattack despite reasonable safeguards, natural disaster, epidemic, industrial dispute, government action or failure of a critical third-party supplier. We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect and restore service.

12. Ending the contract

You may stop using Our Invite and request account deletion. We may end the contract if you materially breach these terms and, where the breach can be fixed, do not fix it within a reasonable time after notice. Clauses intended to continue—such as ownership, accrued payment, liability, disputes and required record retention—survive termination.

13. Intellectual property

Our Invite’s software, interface, brand, templates and supplied visual assets belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them within your Our Invite invitation. You may not resell templates, copy the builder, extract the asset library, remove rights notices or use the service to build a competing product.

14. General terms

We may transfer this agreement as part of a business reorganisation or sale, provided this does not reduce your legal rights. You may not transfer your account or contract without our written agreement. If a court finds one clause unenforceable, the rest continues. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. These terms are between you and us; no other person has a right to enforce them except where law provides otherwise.

15. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you keep the benefit of mandatory protections and may bring proceedings in the courts applicable to where you live. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern informally.
